I have the honor to inform
that I have made a second visit to
"1
the ship Emigrant, and
I regret to
find that the disease to which I made allusion in a former letter continues to spread amongst the Coolie passengers ;
and
that the invectigation into their
health, made with the view
of isolating those who appeared to have been tainted with infection, has led to the discovery of physical and morbid defects in others which, in my opinion, render thend unfit for the purposes of emigration .
I would, therefore, take the liberty of suggesting to This Excellency the Acting,
The Honble.,
Lieut+ Coll. baine,
Colonial Secretary.
